A digression about hair

This is supposed to be a blog about sewing clothes. But that involves a certain amount of posting pictures of myself wearing my productions, and it seems a bit odd not to mention my drastic change of hairstyle at all. So here we go: after struggling to grow it out for six months I’ve cut it all off.

I am so much happier with it this way. Reactions from other people have been varied but I wish I’d taken the plunge earlier.

  1. The short haircut looks great, it suits you. I liked the inverted v shape you used to have at the neckline and got my hairdresser to do the same with mine.

  2. Looks great- I would chop mine all off [again] but my face is so much fatter now I don’t think it would work- the ‘Disney hair’ [as the missus calls it] seems to be OK for now. You have the cheekbones, go for it!

      1. styling? me? Once in a while I blowdry it and blitz straighteners over to defuzz, most of the time it dries naturally….life’s too short to do much more than grab an elastic band lol

  3. it looks fabulous on you! and i totally get you, don’t think i have it in me to try to grow mine out ever again 😀 and people will always have opinions, no matter what we do to our hair..

    1. I’ve been following your blog for a while because I think you have a unique style sense, which I love and admire. It’s awesome that your hair style is as bold as your wardrobe!

  4. Your hair style is perfect on you! Highlights your graceful neck and works well with your sophisticated style.

  5. You look really good in hair that short. I’m a bit envious, I can’t go shorter than about chin-length.

  6. I shaved all mine off 4 years ago and loved it. Now I love my long bob and fringe. Swings and roundabouts. Your hair always looks great. You can carry off any style.

  8. It looks good on you! I actually read backwards on your blog specifically paying attention to your hair, and although I was struck by a passing resemblance to Saoirse Ronanin your last post, short hair suits you so well!
